Kolkata: The epidemic is on the surge in West Bengal. 372 new cases of Corona infectious disease have appeared in the last 24 hours, while 10 people have also died in one day. Five of these people were also from Kolkata. This information was provided in a website issued by the State department of health (Bengal Health Department) on Tuesday.

According to the data on the website, 8.985 people were affected by Corona in the state till now, while 415 people died. This should be known that, until Sunday (07.06.2020), there were 72 fatalities in the state due to illness. That is, these people have been struggling with COVID-19 and other diseases.

The list of co-morbidity was removed from the website issued on Tuesday (09.06.2020). That is, all of the above 72 people have died from Corona. At the same time, 155 people have recovered for the last 24 hours. So far, 3,620 people are now healthy.

The number of active corona patients now has increased to 4,950 in the region, while 7,802 samples were already tested over the last 24hrs. 9.024 samples were tested on Monday (08.06.2020). Now 2,87,900 samples have been tested for these. According to the information provided in the report, 22,106 families were in the Government Continent base until Monday, while 156,943 families were in the Continent.

After Delhi, the Central Investigation Agency in Kolkata was affected by CORONAVIRUS infection. As per CBI sources, an officer was found infected with corona disease in the CBI Anti-Corruption Branch (CBI) office is located on the 14th and 15th floors of the Nizam Palace in the metropolis. After that, 22 other CBI officers who come in contact with him have been sent to Home Correntine.
